The Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency has $110,000 earmarked for three grant programs in 2025-26 and is working on a new grant to help bring new businesses downtown.
The new grant is the Commercial Rental Incentive Program, which CRA Board Chair David Leidel initially spoke of in March as a way to attract retail businesses.
He said the CRA should get to the point where it can step away from feeling like it has to purchase a building to have an impact to be able to incentivize the downtown. He noted the CRA assisted in getting quality restaurants downtown, but now there needs to be other reasons to get people downtown.
