The City of Margate is now accepting applications for its Property Improvement Program, a grant initiative encouraging property and business owners to restore, renovate, and enhance their properties.
The PIP program offers a 50% reimbursement grant of up to $50,000 for commercial and multi-family properties, common areas, and building exteriors owned by condominium or homeowner associations. Additionally, single-family or individually owned multi-family homesteaded properties can receive a 50% reimbursement of up to $10,000 for eligible improvements.
The Margate Community Redevelopment Agency Board has approved two million dollars for the program, $1,500,000 for eligible commercial properties, and $500,000 for eligible individually owned single-family, condominium, and multi-family properties within the MCRA boundaries.
