On September 21, 2024, the City of Deerfield Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, broke ground on the 8.1 million dollar Capital Redevelopment Project, the Sawgrass to Seagrass Center at Sullivan Park. This project also received a generous 3.3 million dollar grant from FIND (Florida Inland Navigation District) which will be used to fund a portion of the construction of the marine science museum portion of the center.
