The Martin County Office of Community Development is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its latest project, The Patio at Palm City Place, a vibrant new community gathering space located at 3290 SW Mapp Road in Palm City. The event, scheduled for Saturday, June 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live music, food trucks, local vendors, yard games, and many other fun activities for all ages.
The Patio at Palm City Place marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to revitalize and enrich the Palm City community. Designed as a multifunctional outdoor space, it will host community events, concerts, and pop-up markets, serving as a central hub where residents can gather, connect, and experience various entertainment offerings. The space also encourages outdoor enjoyment with scenic walking paths, a newly constructed fishing pier extending into the nearby stormwater treatment areas, and green zones for recreation. For those seeking some friendly competition, The Patio also features concrete ping pong tables, cornhole sets, and picnic tables equipped with chess and checkers boards. With so many options, residents have plenty of ways to enjoy the fresh air and the area’s natural beauty.
“The Patio at Palm City Place embodies our commitment to creating spaces that foster a sense of community and belonging,” said Jordan Pastorius, Assistant Community Development Manager of the Office of Community Development. “We wanted to create an environment where families, friends, and neighbors can gather, share experiences, and build lasting memories. We look forward to welcoming everyone to this new community space.”
During the grand opening event, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the new space, enjoy live music by the Nouveaux Honkies, and indulge in a variety of delicious foods from food trucks like Boys & Girls Club of Martin County’s Fork in the Road, Shark Shack Sweets, and Little Moir’s Food Trailer. Local vendors will be on-site with an array of family-friendly activities, including face painting, fairy hair, and even meet-and-greets with wildlife from the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11 a.m., with remarks from local officials and project leaders, marking the official opening of The Patio at Palm City Place. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early with their own folding chairs or seating blankets to get the best viewing spots and make the most of the day’s activities.
Admission to the event is free, and on-street parking is available. For more information about the grand opening or The Patio at Palm City Place, please contact The Office of Community Development at 772.463.3253 or visit www.martin.fl.us/CRA.
