Michele Hylton-Terry is the Executive Director of the Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency. She said these murals are a collaboration with the Fort Myers Mural Society and the City of Fort Myers Public Art Committee.
“How better yet to show the history of the site and what this facility used to be to the community, to bring back life to this property,” explained Hylton-Terry.
She also said these murals are more than just pretty pieces to look at.
“What we want people to know as they drive by and see these beautiful murals is the history that McCollum Hall brings to this community and how it was once a place that brought our community together,” smiled Hylton-Terry.
