The City of Delray Beach is currently seeking residents and business owners to volunteer and serve on a City Advisory Board and/or Committee. By participating as a citizen volunteer on an Advisory Board and/or Committee, you will have an opportunity to become involved in the decision making process within our City government.
Members serving on Advisory Boards or Committees shall possess sufficient knowledge, experience, judgment or background necessary to completely serve the Board or Committee to which they are appointed. Members shall be residents of or own property in the City, own a business within the City, or be an officer, Director or manager of a business located within the City except as may be provided for by Florida Statues, Special Act or Resolution of the City Commission or elsewhere within the Code of Ordinance of the City of Delray Beach.
In general, individuals may serve on only one board or committee at a given time, with the exception of ad-hoc committees or task forces. Most advisory groups meet at least once a month; however, there are varying degrees of commitment, depending on the board. Membership requirements vary with each board and committee.
