LIVE OAK — Two months after agreeing to make Heritage Square its primary focus for future projects and initiatives, the Community Redevelopment Agency furthered that mission at Tuesday’s meeting.
The CRA board green-lighted a pair of proposals geared towards spurring the development of Heritage Square, the recently expanded area of Live Oak between Ohio Avenue and Mussey Avenue and between the railroad and Duval Street.
First, the board approved getting a market analysis for the expanded Heritage Square. The market analysis will cost $24,865.59 and will be conducted by Jesse Saginor and Cliff McCue with Florida Atlantic University. They were previously entrusted with the CRA’s housing study last year.
“Staff reached to a lot of professionals to determine what is our next step in our vision for downtown,” CRA project specialist Kim Smiley said. “This is our next step. A market analysis is definitely needed before we move forward with anything.”
