BOYNTON BEACH — Downtown Boynton Beach will be transformed into Hobb’s Cove, a bustling old world port brimming with pirate superstitions … shipwrecks off the coast of Boynton Beach and Merlandia, a mysterious oasis where the sirens of the sea lure you into the depths with their song.
It’s almost Halloween, and in Boynton Beach, that means it’s time for the fifthHaunted Pirate Fest & Mermaid Splash, and that’s how the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency describes what Ocean Avenue will look like.
This year’s free event will starts Friday with a Kick Off concert from 6 to 10 p.m. The festival is Saturday and Sunday.
