Although she is not sure what it eventually will be called, Habitat Gastronomy on the Creek is the working name for the culinary park Rebecca Maddox plans for the vacant commercial lot across Haldeman Creek from her Three60 Market.
“Right now, this is just a working title because it’s going to have fabulous food. I don’t know what we’re going to call it,” Maddox said. “I’d love to find someone that would put in a little bit of money and I’ll name the park after them.”
At least eight different stations in the center of a park-like setting along Bayshore Drive would serve a variety of cuisines. The mobile vendor-type food park is proposed to have fixed amenities such as an open-air tiki bar, outdoor seating, shade structures, a deck cantilevered over the water, restrooms and a small parking lot.
