The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) are hosting a listening session for bank examiners. The listening session is a group discussion between local community-based organizations and FDIC and OCC Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) examiners and community affairs staff. The goal is to help the examiners better understand local community credit, investment and service needs specific to Lakeland-Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and surrounding jurisdictions, including Polk County. This is intended to be a highly interactive session to elicit your perspective on important issues your organizations – as well as the residents you serve – face every day. Let us hear your views about bank involvement in your community!
