LAKE PLACID — The town of more than 45 murals is looking into building or providing one public restroom facility for visitors and tourists who make the rounds to view the colorful artwork throughout the downtown.
Keep Lake Placid Beautiful member Bill Brantley noted that he is on the county’s Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee (RPAC), which is trying to emphasise trails and paths.
He believes Lake Placid’s murals represent one the most used trails and paths in the county.
The Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce reports that during the peak season there are about 100 people per day visiting the chamber and walking along the circuit to view the murals, Brantley said.
