The City of New Port Richey is seeking “Statements of Qualifications” from professional firms to provide assistance in amending the City’s sign regulations. The scope of work to be performed includes the drafting of amendments to the sign regulations in the City’s Land Development Code, ordinance preparation and presentations to the Land Development Review Board and City Council. The successful team will work with City Staff to analyze the City’s current sign regulations, research and evaluate proposed changes to the sign regulations, prepare ordinances and make presentations with sign companies at public hearings and workshops. An excellent understanding of Florida Statutes and growth management laws is required.
New Port Richey is located along the gulf coast of central Florida, approximately 35 miles northwest of Tampa. It is the largest municipality in Pasco County with a population of approximately 16,000. In preparing the statement of qualifications, interested firms shall provide the following information:
1) Cover letter,
2) Company profile and organizational chart,
3) Qualifications of key personnel that will be assigned to this work,
4) Descriptions of comparable experience with other Florida municipalities,
5) List of fees by employee classification, and
6) References including name of organization, description of work, dates of work, contact person and telephone number.
All materials submitted in response to this RFQ will become the property of the City of New Port Richey. All expenses incurred by the consultant in responding to this RFQ will remain the responsibility of the consultant. Proposals will be accepted until 12:00 p.m., July 8, 2015 (Late or incomplete submittals will not be accepted.)
