ZEPHYRHILLS — The Zephyrhills Community Redevelopment Area neighborhood cleanup program will hold its first one-day cleanup from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 25, according to CRA Director Gail Hamilton.
The first cleanup will be in the areas between Sixth and 12th avenues and Seventh and 20th streets.
Those participating in the cleanup campaign — city workers, volunteers and area residents — have been dubbed the “Rocky Rooster Clean-up Team.” Rocky Rooster is a cartoon mascot chosen to represent the clean-up initiative.
“I want to get the neighborhood and property owners to feel like we’re all in this together,” Hamilton said. “It’s our community, and we want to clean the community.”
