LAKE WORTH — A bright mural nearing completion downtown — featuring an owl, members of a native tribe and booming speakers — had onlookers talking Sunday.
“I love it,” said Leslee Scruggs, who lives in Lake Worth, as she snapped shots with her camera phone. “I didn’t realize it was happening. Usually you have to go to New York or Miami to see something like this, and it’s nice to have a little bit of it here.”
Not as sure was Cally Diaz, visiting from Pompano Beach.
“It should go with the area,” she said. “This is a ghetto mural. It should be more beachy, more tropical. This area is more antique-y, with ice cream shops.”
