Major Boynton downtown development hits negotiation snag
Negotiations have failed in a major downtown Boynton Beach development that could have brought 200 jobs to the city.
The CRA board will hear an update of the One Boynton LLC/Kanner & Pintaluga project — which included a hotel, two multi-use towers and a 50,000-square-foot headquarters for law firm Kanner & Pintaluga — at Tuesday’s Community Redevelopment Agency meeting.
Earlier this year, city officials were hoping that the development of 222 N. Federal Hwy. would help change the face of downtown and bring hundreds of jobs to the area, but at this week’s regular meeting, CRA staff is recommending that the board stop the dialogue until the property owner is ready to develop the site.
