Vincent P. Nolan, Jr. Awarded Recertification of Economic Development Designation
Delray Beach, FL – Vincent P. Nolan, Jr., the Economic Development Director for the City of Delray Beach and the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, has been awarded re-certification by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) effective June 13, 2013. Mr. Nolan first achieved the Certified Economic Developer designation in 2010. CEcD recertification, required every three years, was awarded to “Vin” who met demanding requirements for continuing education and service to the profession. With over 15 years of economic development experience, Vin has been the Economic Development Director for Delray Beach since October 2011. He previously served as Economic Development Supervisor for the Town of New Milford, CT; and as Executive Director of the Meriden Business & Learning Center in Meriden, CT. He has been a Director and Vice-President of the Connecticut Economic Developers Association, and has been a frequent presenter for numerous economic development, planning and other professional groups.
The designation of Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) is a highly recognized national recognition that denotes a mastery of principal skills in economic development, professional attainment and a commitment to professional growth. Vincent Nolan first earned certification by passing a rigorous three-part, two-day examination, testing his knowledge, proficiency and judgment in the key areas of economic development.
