Integrity Florida report questions Enterprise Florida’s fairness
Integrity Florida will release a report this morning questioning Enterprise Florida’s performance over the past 16 years and whether it’s fairly picking business partners.
Dan Krassner, executive director of Integrity Florida said Enterprise Florida has failed to meet the goals it set to achieve when the state’s public-private economic development partnership began in 1996. Enterprise Florida also has adopted a “pay-to-play” mentality with companies that pay $50,000 to sit on its board.
The Integrity Florida report also claimed Enterprise Florida paid its staff roughly $500,000 in bonuses by its board member companies that also were its vendors and recipients of incentive deals.
The report also claimed Enterprise Florida’s incentive programs also indicated a preference in certain industries.
