The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, Division of Community Development, has completed a guide document in the Statewide Post-Disaster Redevelopment Planning (PDRP) Initiative, which provides information on incorporating the guidelines into the long-term disaster recovery process. To access this document, please click here. Thanks to all of the members of our PDRP Focus Group and pilot communities that expressed the need for this guidance and helped us with the review, development and editing of this resource. While this represents the culmination of the 5th and final year of our statewide initiative, our work with PDRP continues. We are now focused on implementing this program in the post-disaster environment, beginning our new Post-Disaster Redevelopment Planning Discussion Group and plan to offer new PDRP-related training opportunities in the Spring of 2013. In addition to this, the Department continues our work with our partners on coastal resiliency through our latest initiative focused on adaptation planning.
