Sunshine and Ethics Laws

Here are three links to Florida resources on the Sunshine and Ethics laws for appointed and elected public officials, including CRA Board members and employees.

The first is the Florida Commission on Ethics free electronic version of the pocket guide to the Sunshine Amendment and Code of Ethics that we talked about last week.

The second is the First Amendment Foundation’s more lengthy book for $15.95 each up to 15, $14.95 16-100 copies.

Prepared by the Attorney General, this is a reference book for compliance with Florida’s Sunshine Law and Public Records Law.  It includes the procedural and notice requirements for open meetings and public records, as well as the statutory exemptions.

The third is the online course, which is already linked on our FRA site, under DIY resources and then Training…..
