Reporting to the Competitive Sites Manager, this position performs highly responsible professional duties related to a proactive and holistic effort to position competitive sites within Hillsborough County. This position provides support to the manager and department leadership in program administration, client outreach, and data analysis to assist County efforts in incentivizing strategic real estate development. This position is essential in assisting the County in diversifying its economic base by attracting jobs and investment to unincorporated Hillsborough County.
The ideal candidate will be one who can track development activity in the County through monitoring of permitting activities within County departments, and other means such as private real estate trend analysis reports and data bases and being able to transfer the results to on-line and static ESRI GIS maps and monitoring reports. Other work such as expedited permitting execution and monitoring, capital improvement plan development and execution, competitive site analysis and new site identification, redevelopment studies and plans, and redevelopment opportunities analysis and program improvements will also come into play providing for a dynamic and challenging environment requiring the ideal candidate to be able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in economic development, economics, business, public administration, or a related field; and
- Three (3) years of experience in planning, development, economic development, engineering, real estate, or a related field.
