NEW PORT RICHEY MAIN STREET PROGRAM DIRECTOR

New Port Richey Main Street, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization located in New Port Richey, Florida. The Organization was started in 1986 and is part of the National Main Street Center. Main Streets around the country follow the 4 points of the program and help to strengthen their local economies and protect their irreplaceable heritage. The Program Director of New Port Richey Main Street, Inc. is the principal staff person of the organization and is responsible for the coordination of all New Port Richey Main Street, Inc. activities. The Program Director will help to coordinate events, Board events, and represent New Port Richey Main Street, Inc..

Training, Certifications, and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in any related field or a minimum of two years of experience with a non-profit program is desired, but not required. The Program Director must understand the issues confronting downtown business people, property owners, public agencies, and community organizations. The Program Director should be entrepreneurial, energetic, creative, well-organized, and capable of functioning effectively in a very independent situation.
Physical Demands
This job often transitions from indoor to outdoor. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to frequently bend, climb, stoop, squat, and walk. Ability to stand for long
periods of time. Physical strength and ability to work long hours outdoors, occasionally under adverse weather conditions.
Sensory Requirements
Ability to hear, speak, and understand conversation in English in various tones of voice, as well as accents or rapidly spoken in order to be able to do the job. Ability
to see, read, and comprehend letters, numbers, words, characters, or symbols, which are both large and small. Ability to print and draw letters, numbers, words,
characters, and symbols which are legible and understood by others.
Work Environment
Ability to deal with stress-related to routine deadlines and occupational problems, which demand immediate attention. The necessity to multi-task successfully.
Ability to accept decisions made by others that may be in opposition to own views. Maintain regular and consistent office hours in an active office environment.
When necessary attend local, state, and national events or conferences related to the position or New Port Richey Main Street, Inc. Mission to gain a deeper
understanding.
