Summary: Under general direction, assists the Executive Director, Community Redevelopment Agency or performs on his/her behalf complex community redevelopment activities; implements and manages various community programs and projects receiving funds through the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). This position will report to the Executive Director, Community Redevelopment Agency and will work with city officials including Mayor, City Commissioners and City Administration, in connection with new or contemplated projects and programs including capital improvements and long-range plans. This position will assist in facilitating, monitoring, and ensuring that all projects are implemented in accordance with the goals of their respective advisory boards and the CRA. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, budgeting, capital acquisitions, public relations, real estate and project development negotiations; administering professional service contracts; capital planning; and serving as a liaison to local government, businesses and property owners; may perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field, and seven (7) years of working experience in the public/private sector in a progressive City in urban housing programs (local, state, and federal), construction management, real estate, neighborhood revitalization and/or economic development. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and AICP are preferred. A current and valid Florida driver’s license is required. For application purposes, a valid driver’s license from any state (equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized; with the ability to obtain the State of Florida driver’s license within thirty (30) days from date of employment.
Compensation: $95,133 – $142,700 (GM05)
