PR Toolbox
Finding support for redevelopment efforts is more crucial than ever. Local governments are being forced to consider cutting back on spending even for successful programs that benefit the whole community.
What should you do to be proactive, respond, or prepare?
As an FRA member, you have several resources. One is a full menu of public relations aides to implement now. We encourage you to take advantage of the services offered by RB Oppenheim Associates, FRA’s public relations counsel. As part of their contract with us, they are available to all members to provide sound advice and counseling to you. They can help you find ways to work effectively with local media and identify effective strategies and tactics to help you deal with some of the challenges you face.
In addition to the advice and counsel they can provide to you under FRA’s service agreement, they also offer reduced rates if FRA members wish to work with them directly for any of the following services:
- Strategic planning.
- Program development and implementation.
- Public awareness programs, grassroots engagement, publicity and promotions.
- Community, media and government relations.
- Issue identification, management and messaging.
- Special event planning and coordination.
- Spokesperson training and media placement.
- Marketing research, public opinion surveys, focus group studies.
- Direct mail marketing.
- Media analysis, planning and advertising placement.
- Creative development of logos, advertising, PowerPoint and video presentations, brochures and other collateral materials.
- Online and digital communications, use of “social media” and network marketing.
Don’t wait, set this assistance in motion, and all you have to do is ask ! Contact Carol Westmoreland at the FRA office, 850-701-3608 for assistance.
The FRA has launched a PR campaign to further showcase redevelopment successes throughout the state. We urge you to utilize the tools below to help you communicate your local successes to the media, citizens and elected officials – whether it be through an informational video, the media kit, the promotional manual, or the powerpoint. If we can help in any way, please contact the FRA office.
